The Pupils' Personal Possessions Insurance Policy has been designed to protect your child’s possessions whilst at school and whilst on school organised trips.
Pupils take to school a vast array of personal possessions including phones, laptops, tablets such as iPads, sports and musical equipment. Boarding pupils will also have clothing and many other personal effects with them at school.
Our Pupils Personal Possessions Insurance Policy will cover the loss, theft or damage to your child’s possesions. There is a range of cover options available meaning that you can select the level of cover that is most applicable to your individual circumstances.

Can I choose my level of cover?
You have a choice of three levels of cover - £1,000, £2,000 or £3,000
Is this the total sum insured?
Yes, you need to make sure that all the possessions you have specified, when totalled together, add up to no greater than your limit chosen. The maximum claim you will be able to make will be no greater than the limit you have chosen.
What items do I need to specify?
Your mobile phone, tablet, laptop computer and any item valued over £500.
Is there an excess if I make a claim?
Yes, there is a compulsory £50 excess for mobile phones, a compulsory £50 excess for tablets and a compulsory £100 excess on your laptop computer. All other claims are subject to a £25 excess.
What is covered under this policy?
This policy covers the loss, theft or damage to all of your child's clothing or personal possessions whilst at school, on the direct journey to and from school or on official school trips. There is a single article limit of £500 with regards to a phone and £1,000 in respect of all other items.
What happens in the event of a claim?
Please call our Customer Service Department on 01306 746300. Please ensure you have full details, including date and location, of the loss, theft or damage of the item. If the loss, theft or malicious damage has occurred outside the premises of the school it should be notified to the police and a crime reference number obtained. SFS Group will then pass these details on to Adjusting Associates LLP, a specialist claims management company, who will then correspond with you regarding your claim and issue settlement if your claim is accepted.
What happens if my child moves school?
Please advise SFS Group as soon as you can, in order that a new Certificate can be sent to you.
Can I cancel the policy
You may end it at any time by giving us 14 days' notice in writing or by email. You will be invited to renew the policy each year on 1st September.
